‘Sheena: Queen of the Jungle’ Tanya Roberts reported ‘dead’ but still alive

Tanya Roberts, one famous Hollywood actress who played the love interest in Roger Moore’s James Bond franchise and later starred in the sitcom ‘70s Show as Midge Pinciotti’, is alive after mistakenly reported the 65-year-old actress dead on Sunday by her publicist Mike Pingel.
Tanya Roberts has been hospitalized after falling at her home.
About the ‘mistaken’ report, Mike Pingel told Associated Press (AP) that Roberts was still alive as of 10:00 am in California but her condition is very poor.
Earlier on Monday, Pingel informed Tanya Roberts collapsed in her home and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. “Her husband Lance O’Brien told me that he held his wife’s hand but got no response from her,” he said.
The publicist said he was waiting for further updates on Roberts’ condition. “Her family was waiting for news from doctors but it does not look good,” he told the PA news agency.
The US website TMZ first reported her death, saying she had collapsed while walking her dogs on 24 December and was admitted to hospital.
Born Victoria Leigh Blum in 1955, Roberts grew up in New York before moving to Hollywood in 1977 in search of fame.
Actress and producer Tanya Roberts acted in the Bond series ‘A View to a Kill’. She was the heroine of Roger Moore’s last James Bond film.
She was also acclaimed for ‘Beastmaster’, ‘Sheena: Queen of the Jungle’. She became known in Hollywood as Tarzan due to her character Sheena.
