The British Queen Elizabeth II visited an Eden project in Cornwall before meeting with world leaders attending the G-7 conference. At that time, she cut a cake with a sword. She was accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. Both of them laughed when they saw the Queen cutting the cake with a sword.
The Daily Mirror reported that the Eden Project hosted a large luncheon last Thursday as part of the 95-year-old Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations in 2022. The three most senior women of the British Royal Family took part there.
At first, the cake was brought and placed in front of the Queen. Lord Edward Bolitho of Cornwall then handed a sword to the Queen.
When one of the assistants told the Queen that there was a “ceremonial knife” here, Queen Elizabeth II replied, “I know and it is more unusual.”
It is learned that after cutting the cake, Queen Elizabeth gave a reception to the G7 leaders at the center. Other dignitaries present included US President Joe Biden, his wife Jill, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Prince of Wales Charles and Duke William of Cambridge.
