Quader’s health condition improved

The physical condition of ailing Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader improved, said Dr. Phillip Koh on Wednesday.
A five-members of a medical board, led by Dr. Koh, a senior consultant cardiologist Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, briefed the media for the second time about the minister’s current state in the morning.
After the physicians briefing, Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and neurologist Professor Dr. Abu Naser Rizvi, informed everyone about the current physical condition of Obaidul Quader citing the statement of Dr. Koh.
At that time, Quader’s wife Isratunnesa Quader, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mostafizur Rahman, Noakhali District Awami League General Secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, Feni District Awami League General Secretary Nizam Uddin Hazari, General Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League Md Shah Alam Murad, Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Jahangir Alam, Feni Municipality Mayor Haji Alauddin, Bangladesh High Commission Councilor AKM Azam and Ataur Rahman and Welfare Officer Md. Al Amin Hossain were present.
The physicians will brief the media about the minister’s state again on Thursday.
Quader was flown to Singapore on Monday for better treatment as per advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Dr. Devi Shetty.
He was admitted to the BSMMU on Sunday morning following breathing complications. Later, doctors conducted an angiogram and found three blockages in his coronary arteries.
