Quader being treated under Phillip’s supervision

Ailing Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader has been admitted to the coronary care unit of Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and being treated under the supervision of cardiologist Phillip Koh.
Quader, also the Awami League General Secretary, was flown to Singapore on an air ambulance on Monday.
The air ambulance [carrying the Awami League leader] reached Singapore Seletar Airport around 8:10 pm Bangladesh time. Later, he was taken to Mount Elizabeth Hospital around 8:50 BST and his treatment began immediately.
Quader’s wife Isratunnesa Quader, Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Dr Abu Naser Rizvi and a medical team of Mount Elizabeth Hospital are accompanying him on board.
Earlier on Sunday morning, Quader was rushed to BSMMU with respiratory problems. Later, he suffered a heart attack and was diagnosed with three blockages in coronary arteries.
Renowned Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty, who flew to Dhaka from Bengalore
for Quader’s treatment, examined the Awami League leader at BSMMU and advised on taking him abroad for better treatment.
Following the advice of the Indian cardiologist, an air ambulance of Mount Elizabeth Hospital carrying Quader took off from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 4:15 pm.
