Putin is more trusted globally than Trump

The latest Pew Research Center poll published Tuesday showed Russian President Vladimir Putin maintains a higher level of global trust than U.S. President Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is often criticized for his controversial actions and statements which can make the people to be hesitant to have confidence in him.
A survey of 13,200 residents of 13 mainly European countries conducted by Pew found that they had more confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin than in US President Donald Trump.
Putin has been placed in fourth, with 23% of global respondents while the Russian president is four points ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping (19%) and seven points ahead of Trump (16%).
The respondents voiced the highest confidence in German Chancellor Angela Merkel (76%), French President Emmanuel Macron (64%) and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (48%).
According to the survey, people in Germany, Italy and Austria trust Putin the most.
The 13 countries in where surveyed conducted were Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The survey was conducted from June 10 to August 3.
