Planning Minister MA Mannan said the budget deficit was nothing new. As a developing country, there must be a budget deficit. Proper planning will address the budget deficit. Even then some people have questions.

“Over the last few years, we have successfully budgeted and tackled obstacles,” said MA Mannan. "We have nothing to fear that we will not be able to implement with the budget. We have given the budget with confidence."
The minister said there should be no problem in providing funds. Because our debt repayment record is good. We are repaying the loan on time. We have been able to retain all the indicators of development as we see it positive overall. Everything is in good shape, including GDP and per capita income.
