Producer Raj also remanded for four days

The court today has granted a four-day remand to Nazrul Islam Raj, the head of Raj Multimedia, and his associate Sabuj Miah in a case under the Narcotics Act with Banani Police Station in the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted the remand at 9:15 pm on Thursday.
This information has been obtained from the sources of the general registration branch of the concerned court.
On the day, the accused Raj and his accomplice were produced in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.
The investigating officer of the case then requested a 7-days remand for them for the proper investigation of the case. At that time, the lawyer of the accused appealed for remand cancellation.
The state, on the other hand, held a hearing in favor of the remand. After hearing both the parties, the court granted them a 4-days remand.
Earlier on Wednesday, RAB raided Raj’s Banani house. During the drive, drugs and Sisha consumption equipment were seized from Raj’s house. Later, Raj and his accomplices were arrested and taken to the RAB headquarters.
A team of RAB took Pori Moni, Raj and their two associates to Banani police station from RAB headquarters on Thursday afternoon.
The RAB then filed a case against Raj under the Narcotics Control Act. Later, Raj and his accomplices were taken to court.
Earlier in the evening, the court granted a four-day remand to popular Dhallywood actress Pori Moni and her accomplice Ashraful Islam Bipu in a drug case at Banani Police Station.
