Prime accused in two sisters rape case killed in Ctg gunfight

Md. Helal Uddin, the prime accused in the rape case of two sisters – picked up from the market in broad daylight at Fatikchhari in Chattogram, was killed in a gunfight with police on Saturday night at Andharamanik Galachipar Tech area of Bhojpur police station of the upazila.
The deceased accused Helal Uddin, son of Zafar Alam of West Bhojpur.
Bhojpur Police Station OC Mohammad Sheikh Abdullah said eight terrorists abducted two cousins led by Helal from Kazirhat Bazar on Saturday morning. Later, they were picked up on a motorcycle and taken to Mansur Tila in the Andharamanik Galachipar Tech area, ten kilometers away from the bazar. There they raped two teenagers in turns from morning to noon. Later, they were left unconscious in the forest and fled.
After receiving the news, the police rescued the two sisters and took them to the hospital, the OC also said. “The victims have identified six of the eight people involved in the incident. Helal was later named as the main accused in the case. Three people, including Helal, were arrested at night.”
When police went for a raid with Helal at Andharamanik area to arrest the other accused, his accomplices opened fire. Helal was killed when police fired back in self-defense, said
