SUST adds Bangabandhu’s autobiography in Bangla department’s syllabus

The Bangla department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is going to introduce the autobiography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to one of its courses titled BNG-226.

Confirming it on Friday noon, Professor Dr Md Ashraful Karim, head of Bangla Department, said that the committee is waiting for the final approval from the academic council.

Earlier on Thursday, the syllabus forming committee of Bangla department took the decision at a meeting where Ashraful Karim made the proposal.

Dr Gazi Mahbub Murshid of Bangla Department of Islamic University was the chief guest at the programme.

Ashraful Karim said, "The decision was taken to make Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman familiar with the new generation as well as with the country's people. This course will be introduced in the second year from 2018-19 academic sessions."

Besides, the autobiography of Rabindranath Tagore, Mir Mosharraf Hossain and Rassundari Devi will also be included in this three-credit course, the professor added.
