President calls for prayer at home on night of Shab-e-Barat

Calling the devotees to pray to Almighty Allah by performing prayers and offering munajat on the night of Holy Shab-e-Barat staying at respective homes, President M Abdul Hamid said, “Let’s pray to Almighty Allah to save the world community from coronavirus pandemic.” 

He also said, “Proper hygiene and social distance are essential for combating coronavirus. So, let us face it becoming conscious not being panicked.” 

The President said this in a statement on Thursday on the occasion of the Holy Shab-e-Barat. – reports BSS.

In his message, President M Abdul Hamid said the Holy Shab-e-Barat is a magnificent and blissful night for the Muslims. “I convey my sincere greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah, including the countrymen.”

He said that the night of Holy Shab-e-Barat is imminent, like in the previous years, heralding the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and fortune. In the subcontinent, Shab-e-Barat is celebrated as a night of good fortune.   

President M Abdul Hamid said Islam is the religion of peace and welfare. “The ideals of Islam are the means of welfare in this world and salvation in the world hereafter,” he added.

Mentioning the entire world is now facing catastrophe in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak, the President said hundreds of human beings are dying of this virus every day.

“Bangladesh has also been a victim of the viral infection. So now it is our biggest duty to save the country and its people from the jaw of this coronavirus. It is a must to follow the health guidelines and ensure social distancing,” he said.

The President said the government has already taken multifaceted steps to face the corona situation.

He wished mercy, rahmat, progress and welfare for the whole mankind. “May Almighty Allah accepts our prayer,” President M Abdul Hamid added.
