President, PM pay homage to Pilkhana carnage martyrs

On behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, their military secretaries paid homage to the martyrs of Pilkhana carnage by placing wreaths at Banani Military Graveyard
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid their tributes to the martyrs of the Pilkhana carnage.
On behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, their military secretaries paid homage by placing wreaths at Banani Military Graveyard in Dhaka around 9:00 am on Thursday.
President's Military Secretary Major General SM Salahuddin Islam was the first to lay the floral wreath at the Graveyard. Just after him, Prime Minister’s Military Secretary Major General Naquib Ahmed Chowdhury placed the wreath there.
Later, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, chiefs of the three services and family members of the martyrs also placed wreaths at the graveyard.
On February 25 in 2009, several hundred BDR soldiers took up weapons against their superior officers at Darbar Hall coinciding with the “BDR Week” inside the Pilkhana headquarters and killed 74 people including 57 army officers.
