Pregnant woman among two killed in Savar road crashes

Two people, including a pregnant woman, were killed and another person was injured in separate road accidents in Savar.
The accident took place at Savar bus stand on Saturday night and in an area of Ashulia on Sunday morning.
However, the identities of the deceased could be known yet.
Sajjad Karim, OC of Savar Highway Police Station, said a truck driver was killed on Saturday night when his vehicle fell into a pit, dug by the Roads and Urban Development Department at the Savar bus stand on the Dhaka-Aricha highway for repair. The truck helper was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
On the other hand, a pregnant woman was killed after being hit by a car while crossing the road in an area of Ashulia in the morning.
On information, police recovered the bodies in both the incidents and sent these to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital for autopsy.
