The tiger’s pair named Raz and Pori in Chattogram zoo gave birth to a cub which was named after Corona as it had been come to the world amid the ongoing COVID-19.
The cub was born at the zoo in the port city of Chattogram last December, in the meantime, everyone's attention has been drawn to the Pori’s cub Corona.
So the zoo caretakers are also busy keeping her happy while many visitors also come every day just to see this little Corona.
Just a few month-aged corona's daily food list is also worth noting as no matter what else is on the daily menu, Corona loves to eat small chicken and fresh beef liver. The authorities have to spend Tk 15,000 per month for his food.
After the death of a tiger named Chandra in 2006 and a tigress named Purnima in 2012, their two cages at Chattogram Zoo were completely empty. Almost four years later, two tigers, one male, and another female were bought from South Africa at a cost of Tk 33 lakhs in December 2016, they were named Raz and Pori. In 2018, Pori had given birth to two cubs also.
