Hundreds of passports seized from Omi, case filed

Hundreds of passports have been recovered from the office of Omi, a friend of the actress Pori Moni, who was arrested in connection with the attempted rape, murder of the actress.
A case was filed against Omi under the Passport Act with Dakshinkhan Police Station in the capital on Wednesday morning.
Tuhin Siddiqui Ami, number two accused in the case of attempted rape, murder of actress Pori Moni, played an important role in trapping the actress.
It is learned that Omi has a business organization called Singapore Training Center in Ashkona of the capital. His main job is to smuggle women behind this organization. He also has multiple houses and plots in Uttara and Ashkona in the capital.
Detective police arrested five people, including Nasir Uddin and Ami, in a case filed by Pori Moni with Savar police station on Monday. Drugs were also recovered from a flat in Uttara during their arrest.
Police remanded Ami and Nasir in custody for seven days on Tuesday in a case filed over drug seizures. The court also remanded the three women with them for three days.
