Polling officer detained from BNP leader's house

Police detained a polling officer from the residence of a Secha Sebok Dol leader in Baklia Bou Bazar area of Chattogram city.

The polling officer named as Mofizul Islam was detained on Saturday noon from Secha Sebok Dol leader Aziz’s house.

Detained Mofizul Islam, non-MPO teachers of the Business Education Branch of South-West Baklia High School. He was given the responsibility of polling officer at Katalganj Government Primary School center.

Baklia Police Station OC Pranab Chowdhury said, “Mofizul Islam was preparing ID card and list of election agents of BNP in the home of the Secha Sebok Dol leader’s house instead of going to the election center.”

“He was arrested on the basis of secret information. From there, photographs and IDs of BNP's election agents were found,” the OC added.
