Police demolished protester as they demand Khaleda`s release

Police have dispersed a procession of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP as they demanding the release Khaleda Zia. The incident occurred in the clash between the police and BNP activists. Some of them were detained.

Protests started in front of Azad Product at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram at 1:50 pm on Monday. In the first five minutes, police dispersed the protests. This was BNP`s pre-declared program.

This protest was scheduled to start from in front of Motijheel`s Agrani Bank. Later, the decision was made to change Baitul Mukarram due to police position.

BNP leaders and workers gathered at this place around 1:30 pm. After that, Protesters are stopped by police as the procession reach at Dainik Bangla intersection. During this time BNP leaders and workers used to throw bricks at police. A police car was vandalized while leaving the place. Some activists of BNP were arrested in this incident.
