The risk of second-stage coronavirus infection has recently increased in the UK. The government of the country has imposed new restrictions to prevent the virus. But there have been protests in London against the new restrictions.
Police claimed hundreds of people gathered at Trafalgar Square and the crowd began throwing water bottles and batons to control. At least three protesters and four police officers were injured, reports BBC.
Last week, the police arrested 32 during the demonstration.
Thousands of people gathered in central London on Saturday to protest the government’s new rules. However, very few of them were wearing masks.
London Metropolitan Police say protests have been stopped because participants did not follow the rules of physical distance and will be issued cautionary fines.
