Peru reports more than 7,000 COVID-19 cases in a day

The deadly coronavirus has also invaded the Latin American country Peru. The number of infected people with the virus in the country is increasing rapidly. In the last 24 hours, 7,386 new COVID-19 patients have been identified. Besides, 141 people have died in the last 24 hours.
According to the international survey website Worldometer, the total number of infected people in the country so far is 155,671, with 4,371 deaths. Besides, 66,447 people have recovered.
Brazil is at the top of the list of Latin American countries affected by the deadly virus. Then there is Peru. It is also the 11th most affected country in the world.
According to Peru’s Ministry of Health, the number of new cases on Saturday was 6,506 and 131 people died. The previous day, the number of newly infected was 5,874 and 116 people died. The number of cases and deaths in the country has been rising over the past few days.
