Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that countrymen will easily get the Covid-19 vaccine whenever it will come to the international market.

The minister made the remarks while distributing N-95 masks and surgical masks among doctors at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Friday.

The Minister said that a concerted effort has been taken by the government and the private sector so that countrymen get the coronavirus vaccine easily and quickly.

Obaidul Qader said it is difficult to say what will happen in the coming days. Nevertheless, the government has taken proper steps to tackle the second wave of coronavirus.

The Awami League General Secretary called upon the leaders and workers of various allied organizations including the Awami League to continue the awareness campaign against coronavirus among mass people.

The bridges minister said that despite the global epidemic, Bangladesh's foreign currency reserve has surpassed $41 billion. And this success has been possible due to the efficient leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He added that an evil force has capitalized on the humanitarian crisis during the global epidemic. If they did not do so, it would be easier to deal with coronavirus and the loss of life and property of the people would have been much less.

Obaidul Quader said the people should be vigilant against this evil force and build a strong resistance against it.

Awami League presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Joint-General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, Health and Population Affairs Secretary Physician Rokeya Sultana, Education and Human Resources Secretary Samsunnahar Champa and Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan were present.
