The Brazilian football legend Pele finally returned home after being hospitalized for about a month due to tumor removal.
The Brazilian legend returned home from Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo on Thursday night.
Pele went to the hospital for regular check-ups in early September due to some physical problems, however, he was diagnosed with a colon tumor.
The tumor has been successfully removed. Pele has since been transferred to the general ward and ICU several times. He was recently kept in a private room.
“When the path becomes difficult, then celebrate each step. Focus on your own happiness. It’s true that I may never be able to jump again, but in the last few days, I have punched in the air much more than usual,” Pele wrote on Instagram after returning home from the hospital.
“I am very happy after returning home. I would like to thank everyone at Albert Einstein Hospital. They have made my stay in the hospital beautiful with very humane and heartfelt services. Thank you to all those who have loved and wished me well from afar,” he added.
