Pandya, Morris reprimanded for breaching code of conduct

Mumbai Indians and RCB competed against each other in the league on Wednesday. During the match, Mumbai Indians' Hardik Pandya and Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Chris Morris have been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League's (IPL) Code of Conduct. Charges have already been filed against the two.

The match referee brought the allegations to the two at the end of the match. Morris was convicted under Section 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct and Pandya for violating Level-1 offense of 2.20 IPL's code of conduct. There was no need for a separate hearing as both players admitted to the charges levelled against them.

As this is the first time, neither of them has been brought under punishment in this incident. These two cricketers have been warned for the time being.

Earlier, Morris and Pandya got involved in a verbal altercation during a match between Mumbai and Bangalore. Pandya could not accept being bowled out by the Proteas all-rounder. As a result, when they left the field, they got involved in a war of words.

Kieron Pollard's Mumbai Indians currently are at the top of the table with 16 points and on the verge of qualification with two matches to go, while RCB is in the second spot with 14 points from 12 matches.
