The whole world is fighting to overcome epidemic coronavirus. Meanwhile, A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane, with an estimated 99 people onboard, crashed in Karachi's Model Colony near Jinnah International Airport on Friday. Popular Pakistani model Zara Abid was in that PIA flight PK-8303.

Sindh health officials have said that so far, 37 people have been confirmed dead. It is, however, unclear if the deceased were all on board the flight or include area residents as well where the crash took place. Three people are confirmed to have survived the crash, according to officials.

Zara is believed left Lahore to model for the Sana Safinaz brand. Soon, many Twitter users including friends of Pakistani model Zara Abid confirmed that she was on board the ill-fated PIA flight.

The Airbus 320 plane took off from Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport and was four kilometres short of Karachi, its destination when it came down.

The plane was carrying 91 passengers and eight crew members, according to Reuters. The cause of the crash is not yet known, but the Karachi ATC lost contact with the plane shortly before landing.

Eyewitnesses said the Airbus A320 appeared to attempt to land two or three times before crashing in a residential area near the airport.

The last time the pilot contacted the ATC, the pilot was told the two runways were clear for landing. In other words, there was no problem in landing the aircraft, but then the communication with the plane was suddenly cut off and it crashes.
