The paddy harvesting festival on 100 bigha land of the world record ‘Bangabandhu’s portrait in cropland’ in Sherpur, Bogura will be inaugurated on Monday.

AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League will be present as the inaugural speaker. Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak will be present as the chief guest.

Special guests will be Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Office Secretary and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister Biplob Barua, Krishak League President agriculturist Sameer Chandra. 

Member Secretary of Bangabandhu National Assembly KSM Mostafizur Rahman will conduct the program.

It is learned that after harvesting 100 bighas of paddy, those will be given to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund. However, some of it will be given to local farmers and workers involved in the project.

The project was inaugurated on January 29 by Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Bahauddin Nasim and local Awami League representatives by planting paddy saplings.

The size of the portrait of Bangabandhu in the grain picture is 12.92 lakh square feet with 400 meters in length and 300 meters in width.

Earlier, the grain figure made in China in 2019 had an area of 8,55,786 square feet. As a result, this portrait of Bangabandhu has been placed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest grain painting in the world.
