Mentioning that once the country had been a champion of corruption again and again, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has said that the present Prime Minister has saved the country from this and brought it on the path of development. Every decision and thought of Bangabandhu and his daughter was the same. The goal of both of them is the development of the people.

The foreign minister said this while addressing a meeting on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 74th birthday and 40th founding anniversary of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance at the National Press Club in Dhaka on Saturday.

Dr Momen said that when we all were thinking about how to collect the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ventilator to save us from the deadly coronavirus, Sheikh Hasina was thinking about the people - "How will they run their livelihood, where will they get food". According to her decision, we have distributed food items from the city to the remote areas.

The people are getting support even in difficult times as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is alive today, he added.

Dr AK Abdul Momen said, "We are very fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Sheikh Hasina. She is working relentlessly to build Bangabandhu's non-communal country. As Sheikh Hasina is alive, rule of law has been established in the country, businessmen are able to do their business well."

Awami Cultural Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Awami League leader Shah Alam Murad and other central leaders of the organization were special guests at the programme, which was presided over by Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance President Falguni Hamid.

At the end of the program, a colourful procession came out on the occasion of the 40th founding anniversary of Bangabandhu Cultural Alliance.
