PM at Bangabhaban to meet President

For the first time after the 11th Parliamentary Elections, Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to meet President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban. She reached Bangabhaban at 4:30 pm on Thursday afternoon.

Press wing of the President’s Office confirmed this information.

Earlier, the President invited the Awami League chief, the leader of the majority party of Parliament, at his Bangabhaban residence.  

In the morning, newly elected MPs took the oath. At 11:00 pm the parliament speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin recite the oath to them.

On December 30, the 11th parliamentary elections were held in which Awami League became the majority party of the parliament by getting 257 seats.
