PBI submits report over Salman Shah’s death

An investigation report by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has been submitted to Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in connection with the death of actor Salman Shah. PBI police inspector Sirajul Islam submitted the 600-page report to the court on Tuesday.

Deputy Inspector Abul Hasan Bhuiyan and Assistant Deputy Inspector Helal Uddin confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Monday, PBI chief Banj Kumar Majumder presented the investigation report of the case.

According to the PBI report, Salman Shah, the most popular actor in the Bengali film, was not killed, he committed suicide over the family feud.

Highlighting the report, the PBI chief said that the statement of the 44 witnesses who were present at the time of the incident and concerned with the incident was recorded under section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code during the submission of the investigation report by the PBI. The testimony of the 10 witnesses was recorded in section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Along with the incident, the relevant evidence was seized. In reviewing these issues, it is seen that the Actor Salman Shah committed suicide in the wake of the family feud. No evidence of murder was found.
