Over 80,000 police personnel appointed

Additional Inspector General Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said today more than 80000 police personnel have been appointed after the present government being placed in power. 

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the concluding march of the 20th Women's TRC-20 batch at Rangpur Police Training Center on Monday morning.

She said the government is doing relentless efforts to improve the quality of police services, enhance efficiency, modernize and make people friendly. In that continuation, to eliminate the manpower crisis more than 80000 additional police personnel has been added to the force that will make the police force more capable and confident in carrying out its duties. 

Additional IG said that the present government has increased the ration rate of the police after coming into power in 1996. Besides, the monthly allowance has been made for the unmarried constable. Now from the constable to SI all are getting risk allowance. Besides today the police are getting the opportunity to work in UN peacekeeping mission in different quotas. 

A total of 1057 women policemen attended the parade on the 20th women TRC-20 19 batch at the concluding march.
