Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Friday said that the intruders have tarnished the image of the party and the government.
“Recently, we have seen that the infiltrators have tarnished the party image. They are responsible for this. Hardworking leaders, activists who always stay with the party in the bad times never do such things that tarnish the image of the party and the government,” he said.
He made the remarks in a videoconference while handing over health care materials to Professor Abul Bashar Khurshid Alam, Director General (Services) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) at the initiative of the Awami League President’s Sub-Committee on Health and Population Affairs at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Warning the intruders, he said that they cannot be sheltered at any level of the party.
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis, the government as well as the party chief had instructed the Awami League to stand by the helpless unemployed people with humanitarian assistance, said the party’s General Secretary.
“In its continuation, the initiative of the Sub-Committee on Health and Population Affairs to distribute health care materials today also deserves praise,” he added.
Presidium member Matia Chowdhury, organizing secretary SM Kamal Hossain, health and population affairs secretary Dr. Rokeya Sultana, office secretary Biplob Barua and members of the sub-committee were also present at the handover ceremony.
