Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the government-announced restrictions will continue till August 5. The factories will not be opened before that.
He told reporters after a meeting on lockdown at the Secretariat in the capital on Tuesday.
He said “various measures” have been taken to control coronavirus infection, including the implementation of ongoing restrictions – which will be informed soon.
Earlier, a high-level meeting was held in the conference room of the Cabinet Division at 1.30 pm on Tuesday to decide what to do to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak.
The meeting was chaired by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and was attended by Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, Police chief, BGB Chief and senior officials of the concerned divisions and departments.
