The Ministry of Education has decided to extend the closure of all educational institutions across the country till July 31 in a bid to stop the further spread of Covid-19.

This was said in a notification of the Ministry of Education on Tuesday.

The notification said that the ministry has taken the decision considering the safety and security of students, teachers, employees, and guardians as different regions of the country are witnessing a surge in coronavirus cases and strict lockdowns have been imposed.

Earlier, the government decided to keep all educational institutions in the country closed until June 30 due to the ongoing pandemic.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain said on Monday that the government had decided to reopen educational institutions as the coronavirus cases decreased. But now the outbreak has increased again. So the government has turned its decision to open educational institutions.
