Awami League’s election committee chairman and Prime Minister’s political adviser HT Imam has said that observers have sought from the United States in the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections.

He informed this to reporters after acting ambassador to the US Embassy of Bangladesh, Bill Molah visited the Awami League President’s Dhanmondi office on Wednesday

At this time, HT Imam welcomed the acting ambassador to the US Embassy of Bangladesh. Later, a bilateral meeting was held between them.

Mentioning that the British ambassador also visited him, HT Imam said, “The United States is aware that the Awami League holds the idea of free elections. They also cherish the same ideals as us. We have requested the representatives of the country to send observers from their side in the next election.”
