Nurse’s packed body found in Kumarkhali

The identity of the woman’s dead body which was recovered in a packed in Kumarkhali of Kushtia has been found.

The deceased is identified as Bilkis Akhter, a nurse at Doctors Lab and Private Hospital in the hospital area and wife of a fish trader Rabiul Islam, a resident of Amlapara, Kushtia.

Officer-in-Charge of Kumarkhali Police Station Jahangir Alam said her body was recovered from Kanchanpur Basher Sanko area on Tuesday morning. Then it was sent to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy. Later, her husband Rabiul Islam came to the hospital and confirmed the identity of the deceased.

He added that the body was packed with a lot of scuffles. The miscreants have tried to flash the victim's face so that no one can identify the woman.

Her husband Rabiul Islam said Bilkis returned home after her hospital’s duty on Saturday afternoon. She suddenly got out of the house at around 5 pm after following a phone call. Since then, she has been missing. The next day a GD was made with Kushtia Model Police Station.

However, police suspect the assassination of the nurse took place because of the extramarital relation. No one has been arrested in the incident yet.
