Now check fraud lawsuit filed against Russell couple in Jashore

Now another lawsuit alleging check fraud has been lodged against Evaly’s Managing Director (MD), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Russell with Jashore Judicial Amli Court (Chaugachha area) on Tuesday afternoon.
Md. Moshahedur Rahman, son of Shafiqur Rahman of Jahangirpur village in Chaugachha upazila, is the plaintiff of the case.
It has been alleged in the case that the Evaly MD did not give the product after receiving the money as promised. Md. Moshahedur Rahman was given a check of Tk 1.77 lakh of the National Bank. The check was “dishonored” as there is no money in the bank account.
MM Joynal Abedin, counsel for the case, said the court accepted the case under Section 138/140 and issued “summons” to the accused. The accused was ordered to appear in person on November 3.
Earlier on September 18, a man named Jahangir Alam Chanchal filed a case with Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station against Evaly’s Managing Director (MD), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Russell and its chairman, Russell’s wife, Shamima Nasrin.
According to the case details, Jahangir alleged that on May 29, he ordered a Pulsar motorcycle from the Indian Bajaj Company for Tk 1,30,140. He then paid the full amount in a few installments. The product was supposed to be delivered within 45 working days of payment. He did not receive the motorcycle for three and a half months.
In the case of a victimized customer, RAB raided Russell’s house in Mohammadpur on the afternoon of September 16 and arrested Russell and his wife Shamima Nasrin.
