Shaheen Reza Noor, the former executive editor of the Daily Ittefaq and son of martyred journalist Sirajuddin Hossain, passed away on Saturday. He was 67.
The noted journalist breathed his last at 10:00 am (BST) at a hospital in Vancouver in Canada.
Shaheen Reza Noor's younger brother Touhid Reza Noor confirmed the information to the media. He had been living in Canada for some time.
Shaheen Reza Noor was born in September 1954 in the Sharshuna village under the Shalikha police station of Magura district. During the War of Liberation, Al-Badr forces abducted his father Serajuddin Hossain, the then executive editor of the Daily Ittefaq, from his Chamelibagh residence in the capital on December 10, 1971, and killed him.
