According to intelligence information, there is no possibility of any kind of sabotage in this year's Durga Puja, said RAB Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. He said that RAB is ready to deal with any situation in the interest of security.
He said these while speaking to media after inspecting the overall security situation at the Banani Puja Mandap in the capital on Thursday afternoon.
Mentioning that there are enough RAB members deployed all over the country for the puja, he said, “We are working to ensure all kinds of security on the occasion of Durga puja. RAB's Bomb Disposal Unit, Dog Squad and Sweeping Team are ready at all times.”
“The Durga Puja, which started on October 21, will end on October 26 with Bijaya Dashmi. This time the whole world is going through a pandemic. So we hope everyone will be careful about hygiene at the event. This time, even though the puja is organized in a limited range in different contexts, we are ready to ensure the overall security; we are by your side all the time,” he said.
The RAB chief said that the air wing of RAB is ready on the occasion of Durga Puja. RAB patrolling and intelligence surveillance will continue around the puja mandapas across the country. The RAB's Quick Response Team will be ready with extra surveillance in metropolitan areas and district cities.
