No installation can be built near canal boundary: Taposh

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh today strictly said no installation can be built near the canal boundary.
The mayor issued the warning while inspecting the Jirani canal on Wednesday morning. He also said that the boundaries of the canal will be determined by measuring according to the records.
The mayor said the canals have been under occupation for a long time, and according to the survey, we may not be able to vacate them completely. Although we can get rid of some of the occupants, we can ensure the drainage system. As a result, we are hopeful that we will be able to free the people of Dhaka from waterlogging.
