It said admission in all government primary schools in the country should be completed by February. No admission test can be taken from pre-primary to fifth class.
All children in the catchment area of government primary schools need to ensure admission in pre-primary and first-grade. The names, addresses and necessary information of the admitted children should be written in the registrar and admitted in the respective class.
The guidelines also say that sick teachers, students, staff and maternity teachers should be barred from attending school. Parents should be requested not to come to school with sick students. School authorities will take special measures to ensure the admission of sick students.
Students who have become schoolless due to the closure of private kindergartens or schools due to coronavirus have been directed to make arrangements for admission in government primary schools under the respective clusters.
