No evidence of rape has been found in the body of Stamford University Bangladesh student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa, Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital said on Saturday.

Dr. Sohel Mahmud, head of the DMC Forensic Medicine Department, confirmed the matter to media.

If we received the two other reports on Sunday, then a final report will be made to the police by matching the three reports, he said.

Noted that police recovered the body of Rumpa, 21, a second-year student of the English Department of Stamford University Bangladesh, from 68 Siddheswari Circular Road, behind Ayesha Complex in Dhaka on December 4.

The next day, police lodged a case with Ramna Police Station. Then the body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Police have arrested the alleged lover of Rumpa – Abdur Rahman Shaikat. He was then taken on remand.
