No end of allegations against OC Pradeep, sued for another murder

There is no end of the allegations against dismissed OC of Teknaf Model Police Station Pradeep Kumar Das. Nobody raised voice against him earlier because of his evil power. But after being his arrest in Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan murder case, all the victims are unveiling the real face of OC Pradeep. 

On Thursday, a woman brought a murder charge against 12 people, including Pradeep Kumar Das. A total of five murder cases have been registered against Pradeep in the meantime.

A woman named Sanwara Begum filed the murder charge at Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Helal Uddin's court this afternoon alleging killing her husband Abdul Jalil.

The accused are: OC Pradeep Kumar Das of Teknaf Model Police Station, Mashiur Rahman, Inspector in charge of Huaixing Police Outpost, ASI Arifur Rahman, SI Sujit Chandra Dey, District DB Police Inspector Manas Barua, SI Arun Kumar Chakma, SI Nazim Uddin. Nazim Uddin Bhuiyan, ASI Ram Chandra Das, Constable Sagar Dev, Constable Rubel Sharma, Maulvi Sirajul Islam's son Md. Aminul Haque. 10 people have been made witnesses in the case.

According to the plaintiff, DB police inspector Manas Barua arrested Abdul Jalil from Adalatpara in Cox's Bazar on December 3, 2019. He was later taken to Teknaf police station by Mashiur, in-charge of Huaikeng police outpost. Pradeep Kumar Das demanded Tk 10 lakh from Abdul Jalil's wife Sanwara Begum to save him from a gunfight. Later, Sanwara Begum sold gold ornaments to save her husband and pay Tk 5 lakh to Pradeep. But despite paying five lakh taka, Abdul Jalil was killed in the name of gunfight on July 7 this year.

Confirming the matter, the plaintiff's lawyer Monirul Islam said that 12 people, including Pradeep Kumar Das, have been charged with premeditated murder of Abdul Jalil. The court took cognizance of the allegation and ordered to submit a detailed report including the investigation of the case filed at Teknaf police station on whether Abdul Jalil's autopsy was done or not. Besides, the court has fixed September 10 as the next day of the case.

Earlier, 28 people, including Pradeep Kumar Das, were charged with murder in the name of gunfight after paying a bribe as demanded. Pradeep was also accused in another case along with 23 others. An expatriate named Mahmudur Rahman was accused of killing in the name of crossfire for not paying the demanded money.
