Night temperature may fall

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted that day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of rain or thunder showers over Chattogram region in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today, a met office release said this morning.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Noakhali, Cumilla and Chattogram. It persists over Cox’s Bazar region and likely to withdraw during the next 24 hours. Monsoon is less active over Cox’s Bazar region and
weak over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday by 34.8 degree Celsius jointly in Sylhet and the lowest temperature today was recorded by 17.5 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 5:21 pm today and rises at 6:03 am tomorrow in the capital.
