Night temperature may fall by 1-3°C

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may fall by (1-3) °C over the country, predicted Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday. 

The Met Office, in a release, also forecasted that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram division in the next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow. 

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country during the period, the release added.

Meanwhile, trough of westerly low lies over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area while another trough of low lies over North Bay. Seasonal low lies over South Bay. 

The maximum temperature was 30.2 degrees Celsius yesterday at Sayedpur in Rangpur and today’s minimum temperature was 10.0 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in the same division.  

The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6:00 am today was recorded 46 mm at Cox's Bazar. 

The sun sets at 6.04 pm today and rises at 6:15 am tomorrow in Dhaka city.
