New Zealand cricket team arrives in Dhaka

The New Zealand cricket team has arrived in Dhaka around 12:00 pm on Tuesday to play a five-match T20 series against Bangladesh. 

The Australian cricket team arrived on a chartered flight for the Bangladesh tour, however, the 21-member Kiwis cricketers came to Bangladesh from Auckland on a commercial flight of Singapore Airlines.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed the news of New Zealand’s arrival in Bangladesh. Tom Latham’s team will conduct a three-day quarantine at the Hotel Intercontinental in the capital before the start of the T20 series.

The first T20 of the five-match series will be played on September 1. The next four matches will be played on September 3, 5, 8 and 10, respectively. All matches will start at 4 pm at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

With a 15-member T20 squad and support staff, the total number of visitors is 26. Five of them have already come to Bangladesh. Today the remaining 21 people came.
