New Zealand cricket team arrives in Dhaka

The New Zealand cricket team has arrived in Dhaka around 12:00 pm on Tuesday to play a five-match T20 series against Bangladesh. 

The Australian cricket team arrived on a chartered flight for the Bangladesh tour, however, the 21-member Kiwis cricketers came to Bangladesh from Auckland on a commercial flight of Singapore Airlines.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed the news of New Zealand’s arrival in Bangladesh. Tom Latham’s team will conduct a three-day quarantine at the Hotel Intercontinental in the capital before the start of the T20 series.

The first T20 of the five-match series will be played on September 1. The next four matches will be played on September 3, 5, 8 and 10, respectively. All matches will start at 4 pm at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

With a 15-member T20 squad and support staff, the total number of visitors is 26. Five of them have already come to Bangladesh. Today the remaining 21 people came.

Tom Latham (c, wk), Finn Allen, Hamish Bennett, Tom Blundell (wk), Doug Bracewell, Colin de Grandhomme, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry (only ODI), Scott Kuggeleijn, Cole McConchie, Henry Nicholls, Ajaz Patel, Rachin Ravindra, Ben Sears (only T20I), Blair Tickner, Will Young.
