The first executive meeting of the newly elected representatives of the Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu) and its Hall parliament will be held on Saturday (March 23).

The date was announced in the ongoing movement to demand Ducsu re-polls due to the allegations of fraud and irregularities. The decision was taken at the meeting of the provost committee at 7:30 pm on Monday (March 18) at Professor Abdul Matin Virtual Classroom.

Various hall provosts of Dhaka University were present in the meeting in the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman. It was informed in the meeting that the first executive meeting of Ducsu and Hall will be held at 11:00 am on that day.

After 28 years, DUCSU and 18 Hall parliaments elections were held on March 11. However, many panels boycotted that election due to allegations of fraud and irregularities in the vote.

In the Ducsu polls, 23 of the 25 posts were won by the Chhatra League, while the quota reformist panel got two posts including The VP post. Student Rights Reserved for Council candidate Nurul Haque Nur elected as VP of DUCSU and Golam Rabbani of Chhatra League elected as General Secretary (GS).
