Netrokona trawler capsize: 2 more bodies recovered, death toll tops 13

The bodies of two more people have been recovered in the trawler capsize incident at Kalmakanda in Netrokona; the death toll rose to 13.
Police recovered the bodies of a child named Monira Akhter and a young man named Ratan Mia from Gomai river in Rajnagar of the upazila on Friday noon. Their home is in Madhyanagar of Sunamganj.
Kalmakanda Police Station OC Mazharul Karim said locals recovered two bodies from the Gomai river in Rajnagar and informed the police. The bodies were then handed over to relatives.
A trawler with 35 passengers was going to Thakurakona Bazar in Netrokona from Madhyanagar in Dharmapasha upazila of Sunamganj on Wednesday. The passenger trawler capsized after colliding with a sand-carrying trawler from opposite direction on the Gomai River in the Rajnagar area of Kalmakanda. On the same day, fire service and police recovered 11 bodies. And today two more bodies have been recovered on Friday noon.
