Neglected tomb of Irrfan Khan
Bollywood’s death march started in 2020 with the name of Irrfan Khan in the list. The best actor left the world by battling cancer. The whole Bollywood came to a standstill with the death of their favorite superstar.
Irrfan Khan was buried in the Muslim cemetery in Versova. Though only four months have passed since his death, ‘signs of neglect’ have seen around his tomb.
The tomb of the world-famous actor is in a dilapidated condition due to no maintenance, resulting in the weeds grown with surrounding by stones.
Fans are getting upset when they saw the photos shared by actor Chandan Roy Sanyal on social media. After looking at the photos, the question arises, “Did Irrfan Khan’s memory go to the back page in only four months?”
Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal went to pay homage to Irrfan Khan. When he went there, he saw the grave of his favorite actor in carelessness and negligence. So he shared the photos on social media with a sad heart and wrote, “Was missing Irrfan since yesterday, beating myself for not having gone to his tomb for 4 months. Today I went, there he was resting alone with no-one around with plants. In silence. I left him some Rajnigandha and took a piece of him back with his blessings. So long #IrrfanKhan.”
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor (a type of colon cancer) in 2018. He has been receiving regular treatment since then. He was admitted to the ICU of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on April 28 due to his deteriorating condition. He breathed his last by crying his fans on April 29.
