Nayeem, a child bearing 2kg neck tumor

A 14-month child in Narail is living with an unbearable 2 kg weighted tumor at the neck. Nayeem is the son of wage labor Kamal Hosen, live in Rameswar village of Maijpara union under Narail Sadar upazila.

Sources informed the child took birth with a small tumor at the neck one year and two months ago while this tumor is being bigger with his physical growth. Now it looks like another head on the neck.

Ruma Parvin, mother of the affected baby said to the correspondent, “Due to the 2kg weighted tumor the baby couldn’t sit properly, so he has to stay laid most of the time.”

She also said that no parent could stay happy with such condition of the child, she and her husband also not good at all. They have another son of 7 years old.

Kamal Hosen, the poor father of the child, said that “Although we met doctors and kobiraz for the child frequently during one year last, no output. A few days ago, physician of Dhaka Medical College Hospital reported that it will cost more than one lakh taka for its operation. It’s so difficult to manage this huge amount of money.” So he bagged helps from the affluent persons of the society.

Nayeeb Ali of Rameswar village said “We feel pity because of Kamal’s baby tumor behind the neck. If the rich-hearted peoples of the society come forward, it may actually be able to recover after the operation.”

Regarding this matter, Maijpara up chairman Md. Zillur Rahman said, “I have heard the news of the baby with tumor at the neck. Assistance will be provided for the treatment of the baby. I ask the kind-hearted, bounteous people of the society for the help as well.”
