The National Memorial in Savar has been decorated to pay tribute to the best children of the nation on the Great Victory Day. Additional security has also been taken.

The preparations for the day have been completed to celebrate the day in a dignified manner. In addition to the month-long tireless work to decorate and clean the premises, various types of flowers have been arranged in celebration of the Great Victory Day. Lighting is also done.

Also for safety, CC cameras have been installed inside and outside the monument. Thousands of security personnel have been deployed with enhanced intelligence surveillance.

Engineer of the Savar Public Works Department, Joardar Tabedun Nabi, said the memorial has been fully prepared from the beginning of the month on the occasion of December 16.

SP Maruf Hossain Sardar said the extensive security measurement was taken from the Dhaka district police in celebration of the Great Victory Day.

National Memorial was built on 108 acres of land in Savar to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who were martyred during the war of liberation. Along with seven minarets of 45 miters height in three different steps, the premises include various structures comprising floral altars, mass graves, residential houses, and artificial lakes.
