Nasir Uddin Mahmud and Tuhin Siddiqui Omi have been remanded for seven days each in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act at the Airport Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair passed the remand order after a court hearing on Tuesday. At the same time, the court granted three days' remand each to Nasir's three concubines. They are Lipi Akhter (18), Sumi Akhter (19), and Nazma Amin Snigdha (24).

The accused were produced before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court at 3pm today with 10 days remand prayers for each in the interest of proper investigation of the case. Plaintiff's lawyers demand bail. The state, on the other hand, opposed bail. After hearing both the parties, the court rejected the bail application and granted remand to accused Nasir and Amir for seven days and the other three accused for three days each.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, the Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) police arrested them from their house at Road No. 12, Sector-1, Uttara-1. Sub-Inspector (SI) of the Detective Branch (DB) Gulshan Zonal Team Manik Kumar Sikder filed the case with the Airport Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act at midnight on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that the actress Pori Moni filed a case against the former president of Uttara Club and businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud and six others at Savar Model Police Station on charges of attempted rape and murder and intimidation. Following investigation, the court directed to submit a report by July 8.
