Former health minister and 14-party spokesman Mohammad Nasim’s coronavirus (COVID-19) samples have been collected and sent to the relevant laboratory.
Awami League deputy office secretary Sayem Khan confirmed the matter on Monday, saying, “He is undergoing treatment under the care of Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital’s Shyamoli.”
Family members rushed Nasim to the hospital in the morning when he suddenly had breathing difficulties. His condition improved when he was given oxygen there on an emergency basis. Doctors later collected samples for his coronavirus test.
It is learned that the presidium member of Awami League was tested for the virus four days ago at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) – there the test result came negative at that time.
