Narsingdi house lockdown over coronavirus suspicion

Palash Upazila administration has locked down a house on suspicion of the presence of coronavirus in Narsingdi. A house of Pirindar Tech village under ward no. 7 of Ghorashal municipal area of ​​the Upazila was locked down on Wednesday afternoon.

Another family members were placed in the home quarantine of the area. The entrance of the house has been closed with bamboo and fence. Police were deployed in front of the house and public movement restricted.

Palash UNO Farhana Ali said a 40-year-old man from Pirinda Tech village was immediately locked as coronavirus symptoms were found in his body. At this time, another family member came in contact with them there has been kept in-home quarantine. In addition, public movement around the house has been banned.

She also said that the coronavirus suspect man visited an Italy returnee relative house in Narsingdi, who came from Italy a few days ago. It is believed that the man was attacked from that contact. The victim has been living in Pirindar Tech village with two children, daughters and wife. The house and its adjoining house were initially locked down on suspicion of being a coronavirus. News has been sent to the IEDCR to collect a sample of the victim. From there, the team will be able to confirm if he is infected with coronavirus or not. 

Palash Police Station OC Sheikh Nasir Uddin said police had been deployed to the house after the lockdown. Arrangements have been made to prevent anyone from roaming around the house. In addition, police will be provided with the necessary foods and other supplements in the houses.
